We got a generous amount of freedom in designing this book, which took the authors 20+ years of research. With a lot of patience, they collected these old folk songs from southern Sweden that probably otherwise be lost to time. Greatly inspired, we dived deep into the archives to find time-accurate tapestries and patterns on which these illustrations are based. We went for a black-and-white theme to not compete with the actual chorals, as we knew this book was meant to be used. The same goes for the typography and layout to maximize readability.
